It's a community created by a group of friends. the goal of the community is to support (and mainline) all Allwinner SoCs, even the old sun3i and the SoCs to come. But everything on a single branch, sharing drivers across the family and with other manufacturers when possible. Their official site is http://linux-sunxi.org. Cubieteam is a member of linux-sunxi who will support the community with their best effort.
